Metkore Alloys & Industries Limited (MAIL), is an India-based company engaged in the manufacturing and trading of metal alloys. The Company offers major high carbon ferrochrome The Company's products consist of its own manufactured product of ferrochrome (more than 90%) and other traded ferroalloy and related products, such as ore, coal, coke, charcoal, anthracite coal and quartzite. The Company's products include ferro manganese, silico manganese, ferro silicon. The company caters to domestic and export markets. The factory has an installed capacity of 30,000 tons per annum, which is located at Ravivalasa village, Tekkali Mandal, Srikakulam District, Andhra Pradesh. The Company was incorporated on March 23rd, 2006 under the Companies Act, 1956. It is an ISO 9001 Certified Company. It is listed on the BSE with a BSE Code of 532990 and the NSE with an NSE Code of METKORE. The company has splits its Face value of Shares from Rs 10 to Rs 2
Originally the company was promoted by Sri Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao along with his associates in the name of GMR Ferro Alloys & Industries Ltd. In the year 2009, the shares of Promoters holding in GMR Ferro Alloys & Industries Ltd were transferred to Cronimet Mercon Dubai and Sri Prasanth Boorgu. Again 2014, Sri Prashant Boorugu acquired the shares of Cronimet Mercon.
The factory is set up on an area of 22 Acres and located at Ravivalasa Village, Tekkali Mandal, TEKKALI-532 212, Srikakulam District in Andhra Pradesh, In addition, 20 Acres surplus Land is available at adjacent to the factory.
The factory is situated on NH -16 (old NH 5) 150 Km away from Visakhapatnam Port city and 450 km approx to Odessa chromite Belt. The factory is proximity to 132 KV substation thereby saving in power tariff rates. The company is in possession of 33 % Mining lease rights in Odessa called AIKATH Mines which fetch good Market Price. The major plant and machinery include two furnaces of 9 MVA and 6 MVA each, Briquetting plant, Power Sub Station, Laboratory equipment, Pollution control, cooling facilities etc.,
The current Plant capacity in terms of “High Carbon Ferro Chrome” is 30,000 MT per annum. (Both the furnaces have been relined in March-April 2009 with the capacity improvement from 25,000 MT per annum to 30 000 per annum).
